I wouldnt recommend this practice to anyone with special needs/Learning disability or the like, they are just not trained enough to understand that the person with the Learning disability lives in a very confused condition and cannot always say what is wrong with them,therefore the treatment they receive is not always the right treatment even when the carer/parent with the patient tells them the problem they still do what is best for them and not for the patient and the patient can go on suffering the same ailment unnecessarily until it becomes impossible to live with. The patient then slowly deteriorates into a deep depression and frustration because they do not understand why the same problem still exists even after visiting the Dentist. Ever decreasing circles i believe its called.
